In the construction industry, there are many different methods for billing clients. Billing methods may vary on any particular job based upon the unique conditions of that job. Large jobs may require AIA billing, smaller jobs may be on a time and materials billing format, while other jobs are best handled on a per unit billing basis. Standard accounting systems are not designed to provide the billing flexibility that is often necessary in the construction industry.

We use a lot of AIA invoicing, and ComputerEase already has it set up so that when it's time to bill a project, the project manager knows to go in and enter what's been completed that month, just the percentage or a dollar amount, you can do it either way. And as soon as he's entered it, I get in and all I have to do is print it out on the correct form and send it out the door to the right person. And it's just that easy to, you know, get our monthly billings out the door. And when you have several projects going on at once, it should take a lot of time, but it doesn't. It's pretty, pretty easy.

Between the time of dispatch, the signature capture, back to me for invoicing and then onto accounting for uhm, invoicing is, is, I mean it can be done in the same day, you know, from, from conception or inception I should say, all the way to into the actual billings where it speeds up everything, the billing and everything.
